Notification has arrived !!!!

{Greetings zombies and zombie-ettes!

Thank you all for coming out to our casting call and making it a huge success!!! Sorry for the delay in getting back to all of you, but due to the overwhelming response to our casting call it took a bit longer than originally anticipated to get through all of the audition tapes.

We are emailing you to let you know that we would love to have you onboard this project in the role of either a zombie, some townfolk, or townfolk later turned zombie. We will be holding a second casting call sometime in the upcoming month or so and will let you know the exact date as soon as it is finalized. You do not need to attend this call as you have already been placed in roles. However, some of you have emailed us and asked if you could "re-do" your reading. If you would like to re-do your reading, you may attend the second casting call to do so.

In the meantime, keep watching the website, the myspace page, and the message board for updated info. Thank you again for your interest in Hot Rod Zombies from Hell, we could not be getting away with this if it wasn't for all of you!

Feel free to contact Loren or Chris with any questions or concerns you may have.

Let's make movie history!

The AUDITION...(Hot Rod Zombies from Hell)

Greetings Fellow Gorehounds.

Today was the General Audition for "Hot Rod Zombies from Hell". Let me take you through the day.

I woke up at 7AM....Left the house by ten after. Arrived in Chicago about an hour later and we (My father and I) stopped at a Burger King to eat breakfast. Dad brought up the fact that we should be within a block of MoJoe's Hot House (The place of the Audition)....it was right across the street next to the Muffler shop.

At 9AM we went to see if MoJoe's was open, it was, so we went in and sat....and Sat....and SAT some more.....until Audition time (3 hours later).

Two crew members arrived at 11AM to set up the recording equipment (our Readings were being recorded for Casting Purposes). Chris & Loren arrive at 11:30 to get prepared. They were forthcoming in letting us know that they were running a tad behind. They had me fill out a quick 2 page "Personal Information" handout.

I was the first called down. Told that the Character I was reading from is NOT necessarily the part I will be chosen for..(If chosen for a role at all); I.E. No Guarentee's. I told them I understood. They handed me a copy of a scene (Which I will NOT devulge) and gave me a brief rundown of the character Lloyd....whom was the part I read. They gave me a couple minutes to read over the scene before taping the Reading....and I began laughing at the description of Lloyd.

Lloyd is a Lanky, thin, fumbling, clean-shaven hick, with bad teeth. If you know me you KNOW I'm not to far from being Lloyd.....I'm thin, Clean-shaven, and have bad teeth. If Lanky means anyone over 5'-5 then I'm off by a few inches....Fumbling? sure...I can be clumsy. Lloyd is also slow....there is someone at work that I could use as a model if need be.

At the start of the reading Chris says. "I'll read the part of the other character. My reading is going to be flat cause I'm not a professional actor." In stride, without a beat, I replied. "Don't worry, neither am I."

I gave my reading....felt okay...flat...but okay. I'm good with it being my first ever reading/audition. They said they would get back with me in about a week. Untill then....

I remain Hopeful.
