New Patients in the Morgue.

Today from two sources I have acquired a couple of new patients.

From Best Buy I picked up a box set of three films from Shriek Show. It is called "Evil Animals" and it has Day of the Animals, Grizzly, Devil Dog in it. Two of the films, Grizzly and Devil Dog, are 2 disks. All this for a price of $14.99.

From CD Warehouse I picked up a copy of "I Spit on Your Grave" (Millenium Edition) for a scant $8.99.

For just over $20 I found a few classic gems.

If I come across a good picture of one of the two sets...I'll come back to this post and post it.

Fango's Weekend of Horrors '07 Con Report.

Greetings Fellow Gorehounds & occasional visitors to the Morgue of Mayhem.

This past Saturday I spent the day away from the Morgue of Mayhem with Nurse MorgueTisha while we went to Rosemont IL.

We left the Morgue between 5:30 - 6:00AM. We arrived at the hotel at about 7:00am after a brief stop at the Oasis to have breakfast.

MorgueTisha and I were the 2nd and 3rd persons in line to purchase tickets. While waiting in line I seen two friends on my Myspace Page (Zombie Almeda & Sgt. Peppers). I took a picture of MorgueTisha with a Gory Santa Claus who was holding a bloody machete and a severed head. "This is what happens when you don't leave me any COOKIES!!!"

After the doors opened and we got out tickets for the day it was straight to business with heavy shopping ahead.

Here is a list of the DVD's that I purchased....

Doomed to Consume (Pre-Release Collectors Edition)

Video Violence 1&2

The Last Days of Rik Mortis (20 minute short film)

Mutant

Mexican Werewolf in Texas (Unrated Directors cut)

Doomed to Consume tee

and 2 hoodies...

Z.E.R.O : Zombie Emergency Response Operations Sharpshooting Team (Pullover Hoodie).

Over at Bill Moseleys table I picked up...

Cornbugs "Brain Circus"

Cornbugs "Rest Home for Robots" cd's

the "freebies" were cool...

A nightlight from Fear.com

DrawString Backpack from Lionsgate

An original art print from Jason Beam

Magnets

Buttons

Posters & Lobby cards from The Hills Have Eyes 2 people

The main registration line was UNGODLY long this year. It went through the lobby, down a small hallway to the Restaurant/Bar, down the stairs to the basement, through a small hallway and around the corner to where the 2nd dealers room was, through that hallway and then began to snake it's way back .

Last year that same line never got past the main lobby.

Looking around some message boards some people were upset at the guests.....some were late and some cancelled. Didn't bug me to much I just go for the shopping. It would take a panel of Angela Bettis and Lucky McKee for me to stop the shopping madness.

I had a great time as usuall..Nurse MorgueTisha also had a great time for her first Convention outing. And....

Getting to talk to Tony Timpone for a quick two minutes was the capper of the day.

Fangoria's Weekend of Horrors '07

Greetings Fellow Gorehounds!

The 2007 Fangoria Weekend of Horrors will begin later on today (Friday, 21st), but I will be leaving the Morgue of Mayhem early Saturday morning for a full day of Gory Festivities and with me I will be escorting Nurse MorgueTisha on her first ever Horror Convention outing.

I'm excited to go...last years show was a absolute B-L-A-S-T!!!!!

Nurse MorgueTisha is excited to go.

We will be tallying up our $$....getting our Swag Bags ready for all the F-R-E-E-B-I-E-S we can load, carry, drag back to the car.

The movies I am most interested in getting are Barricade (German Ultra-Gore film), Doomed to Consume (Low Budget Zombie Film), Bone Sickness (Low Budget Zombie Film) and a few others.

I'm also hoping that they seperate the Mainstream Horror Dealers room from the Independants. Last year the Independants Dealers Room was pretty kicking.

It's just a mere 26 hours away before we hit the road. I SOOOOO Can't wait.

Review of "The Circle" starring Angela Bettis

Greetings Fellow Gorehounds!

While this is NOT a Horror Film; it does star Angela (MAY) Bettis.

While I'm a HUGE fan of her work...I'm not a huge fan of this film. It classifies itself as a drama but I found myself laughing at it more times than being drawn into it. Her characters emotions change faster than a Bi-Polar persons do.

It's shot it one continous take, with ZERO edits, so I have to give it some kudos for that. It is an artsy little film that I think takes a new spin on Dante's Inferno and the 7 circles of hell.

Shot on Digital Video with heavy use of a steadycam....so it gives you that 'You are there' feeling.

I'll always follow Angela's work....but I'm not really impressed with "The Circle" as a whole.

PLOT:

As a contract killer prepares for his next hit, a frightened woman pounds on his door asking him for help. He rebuffs her at first, until he discovers that her husband is his next target, The woman finally convinces him to take her to the mob boss's club so that she can plead for her husbands life. After her descent into this hellish club with its vice and its violence, she returns to her husband and with one final twist the true nightmare of her journey is revealed.

About time it gets released!!!!!!

Angela Bettis' Directorial debut gets released on March 25th, on DVD, from Echo Bridge Home Entertainment.

I'm a huge fan of Bettis and McKee, thanks in whole to a little film called "MAY" that buying this is an absolute no-brainer. I don't know much about this film except that Angela refers it as a companion piece to May.

"SINFUL" - A Review!

Greetings Fellow Gorehounds.

It has been a while since I posted up a review so I thought after viewing one of the latest Misty Mundae films that I would like to share my thoughts on it. Are you interested??? Good, here we go.

"Sinful".

Symptoms:
Lilith cannot conceive a child no matter how hard she tries and how desperately she wishes. As her marriage begins to unravel, so does her hold on reality slowly and painfully and dangerously slip away. A beautiful neighbor who has just become pregnant befriends Lilith, and thier relationship ignites a furious envy within her that turns increasingly threatening. Cursed with a body refusing to bear life and driven mad by psychotic fantasy, Lilith will stop at nothing to experience happiness with a child - any child. She will become a mother, right this very moment, however monstrous and shocking the consequences might be.

Diagnosis:
This twisted little tale is pretty damn dark and grim. Misty Mundae turns in another good performance as a desperate woman on the edge.

Sinful has a good story, the performances are also pretty good, lots of skin and even some gore.

I'm glad I blind bought this. It sits proudly in my collection. Now all I have to do is find a place that rents out "Shock-O-Rama".

Recent Acquisitions.....

Greetings Fellow Gorehounds!

I know it's been a while since my last post...sorry bout that but the DR. himself had a massive oral surgical proceedure done to him that put him out for about 3 days, coupled with that my modum burned out and I couldn't connect for 2 days. But now I've got a new Modum and my mouth is a lot better.

Right now Nurse MorgueTisha is laying on a slab catching a quick 40 so it's up to me, as USUAL, to fill you in on whats been going on here.

We caught a couple new patients recently.

Fright - Italian Suspence film

Wishmaster 3

Sinful - latest Misty Mundae release.

The "Black Christmas" remake should be opening at Theaters shortly if not sooner.
