A Review!!!

A group of tourists take a boat ride to a deserted island. Once there, the discover that most of the residents have disappeared and soon find themselves being stalked by a malevolent presence. They try to uncover the mystery buy nothing could possibly prepare them for what they would eventually find.

This film has it all...a hanging, a throat slicing, biting, a face being peeled, impalings, stabbings, gut munching and a fetus eating scene.

Shriek Show proudly gives all horror fans a 2 disk special edition of this Joe D'Amato exploitation "classic". Presented UNCUT/Unedited for the first time in the U.S.

Disk 1.--Anamorphic Widescreen Presentation* Promotional Trailer * Trailers
Disk 2.--Joe D'Amato Documentary "Totally Uncut 2"* Zora Kerova & George Eastman Public Appearance 2005* Alt. US Theatrical Opening* Photo Gallery* Trailers

Runnig time 88 minutes. "NR"-- Not Rated.

The only drawback to this set is that the Audio in the "Totally Uncut 2" Documentary drops out every now and then....use the subtitles and you won't miss a thing. Other than that it's a must have.

Good news/Bad news concerning upcoming Cons.

Greetings Fellow Gorehounds.

Today I have some good news and bad news about the Fangoria Weekend of Horrors Convention and the Flashback Weekend Convention.

Bad News reguarding the Fangoria Weekend of Horror's Convention....

Dee Snider (Twisted Sister fame) has cancelled his appearance at the Convention this year due to a throat surgery.

Good News reguarding the Flashback Weekend Convention (July)...

The man who came to "Chew Bubble Gum and Kick ass" is invading the Chicagoland area....and he's all OUT OF BUBBLE GUM!!!!!!
ROWDY Roddy Piper is making a weekend appearance at Flashback. Now maybe I can get the answer to that ever nagging question I have...."Whatever happened to "Mean" Gene Oakerland?"

Final Destination 3 Review!!!!

Greetings Fellow Gorehounds..
The Dr. got a chance to get out of the Morgue Of Mayhem for a few and jumped at the chance to go catch a showing of Final Destination 3. I'm sure a lot of People haven't seen this yet so I'll try not to leak any spoilers. So I'll try and be as general as possible.
The beginning rollercoaster scene is pretty intense. Tense & Suspenceful leading up to the inevitable carnage. The action moved pretty fast and the CG effects got kind of blurry so the carnage didn't look too decent but I guess if it really happened to you you wouldn't see things all the crystal either. What little gory carnage the roller-coaster accident provided the rest of the deaths scenes made up for (Bring the barf bags people...it DOES gets a bit messy in this one).
It was good to see Kris Lemche (My Little Eye, Ginger Snaps) once again always playing the cynical one...lol. The acting is tolerable, the gore effects are wet and nauseating, and we even get some boobage from the stuck-up twins in the tanning salon. The Songs they used were awsome...nicely used with great timing.
I'm there for more...if they keep making them.

Added bit of interest: Our theater, starting tomorrow, does NOT allow children under 6 into an R-Rated film after 7:00Pm. it's a good start...but not high enough on the age restriction, IMO.
In our crowd there was a Mexican family with...guess what...YEP...a child under 6. Enjoy it kid....that's the last R-rated film you'll attend for a bit.

My "To Do" list this year...
1. NOT go to Six Flags.
2. Stay home July 4th.
3. DINE IN!!!!!!!
4. Do NOT get a job at Lowes, Home Depo, Menards any time soon.
5. No travelling by Train.

Please Support...

Final Destination 3.

Yeah!! It started this Friday, (This entry is written at 1:37 Am saturday morning) and I am going to go see it, and pay FULL PRICE, on Sunday Evening when I drop off the little gorehounds back at home.

I have been keeping tabs on what the Members of the Fangoria Message Boards have been saying about it (No one has posted any Spoilers at this point) and so far there has only been 1 negative review for it.

The first Final Destination was pretty good. The Second Final Destination was a BLOOD SOAKED BLAST...so I can't wait to see the Third one. It's a shame that Tony Todd is reduced to a "Voice" this time around.

Go see it once, twice, THREE Times..........but please support it. It's a real cool franchise....and go buy the first two if you don't already have them in your collection.

EXTRA EXTRA!!!!!!! Hot off the press NEWS!!!!!!

Tom Savini has been added as a guest at the Fangoria Weekend of Horrors, in Chicago, March 4-5. (I'm going to get him and George Romero to sign my Dawn of the Dead Ultimate Edition Boxset).

The Morgue of Mayhem is now OPEN!!!!

Greetings Fellow Gorehounds.

I am the DRofGOREOLOGY and this is my first journey into the world of Blogging.

If you, dear reader, are a fan of Horror/Gore/ Exploitation films then I hope this becomes a regular place to come visit....As I will try my best to make it as interesting/entertaining/educational for you as I can.

But Before all the fun can start...A little about your host first.

Name: You, dear reader, can call me "Doc".
Location: S.E. area of Wisconsin. (In the good old U.S.A. for you Abroad readers)
Age: 36
Hobbies: Collecting Uncut/Unrated Horror Films (DVD & VHS).
Where to find me on the "Net": At the Message Boards at Fangoria.com (my home when I'm HOME).
Favorite Horror Film: "May" followed closely by Dawn of the Dead '78 (hate having to use the year it was made due to the asinine -- can I say asinine? -- remake.)

Future News worthy Items:

1. Fangoria Weekend of Horrors convention (March 4-5). I will be attending on the 4th and shall have a report on it a day or two following. (Hopefully with Pictures).

2. Flashback Weekend Convention (in July...Details on www.flashbackweekend.com). I will also be attending this Convention, as I have in 'o4 & '05, and will also have a report of it a day or two following. (Pictures Should accompany the report.).

3. Sometime during the summer of '06, in the Chicagoland area, I will be participating in the making of a Low Budget Horror film called "Hotrod Zombies from Hell." What I can tell you is that I expressed interest in wanting to be a Zombie in the film. The film-makers asked for a picture of myself...so I sent them one; (See picture above) and now they want to set up an appointment for a Reading/Audition. They are trying to make it for sometime in March....That's the last I heard of anything but they are juggling a few things right now such as re-writes and things. I wait patiently for the news.

That is it for now. Hope you learned something about me (yes, I did hold back a little bit). Mystery is the key....Always leave them coming back for more.

Pleasant Screams.
