FEMALE Zombies !!!!!

Greetings Fellow Gorehounds.

Today's news, if you haven't heard already, is that Twilight Creations is releasing a 2nd Edition of thier hit game ZOMBIES!!! and what you see is what the new Zombie figures are going to look like.

If your a fan of the Zombies!!! game series then this is AWSOME news. The Event Cards and Map tiles are also getting revised/updated art. The box for this set is going to be big enough to hold all the other supplements. Go to www.twilightcreationsinc.com for all the details and pictures of figure/tiles/event cards.

I'm so stoked for this. Maybe, in the future, we can get Child Zombies. THAT would be the end all of zombie figures.

New Years Evil Review.

Greetings Fellow Gorehounds.

Earlier in the week the Morgue of Mayhem had a visit with a pretty nice patient. I gave him a thorough examination and here is my findings...

"New Years Evil"

Symptoms:

A nationally televised New Years Eve punk rock party being celebrated on all four time zones sets an eerie stage for "murders at midnight" in this thriller with a twist ending.

Diagnosis:

This films stars Roz Kelly (Famous as Pinky Tuskadaro on Happy Days) as Blaze, the host of the Punk Rock New Years show. She recieves a phone call by someone who calls himself "Evil" and he says he is going to kill a person at midnight in each time zone that celebrates the New Year.
The Killers Identity is revealed pretty early on so we can see his Suave tactics getting his victims and Cold harshness when he dispatches them.
The films isn't outright gory...all the violence is pretty much out of the view of the audiance, but it does show some of the aftermath.
The Twist ending, by todays horror films has been done to death, but in the 80's it was fresh and new.....but it still seems stale, However; IMO the twist is within the MOTIVE and not so much in the final scene.

The acting was decent as it moved the story forward at a nice pace; there was enough going on in the story to keep me involved without boring me and it was a nice surprise for a small independant slasher film in the 80's.
This is a good addition to your collection if your a fan of the 80's horrror films.

The DR. gets Misty.

Greetings Fellow Gorehounds.

If your a fan of Erin Brown than seeing her in person is no surprise to you on how stunning she is. Beautiful on Film but Gorgeous in person. I was trying to have a simple conversation with her but I was brain-farting all day long on the simplest things. For instance; I was telling her how great it was to see her acting with Angela Bettis in Lucky McKee's "Bite Me"....(*DOH!*, MORON!!) She looked puzzled and said..."You mean "Sick Girl"? I replied..."Yeah, I meant Sick Girl." while I shook my head in disbelief that I had blown such an easy compliment.

I was so tired that day from the overflowing anticipation of the event from the night before. I hardly had any sleep (Lucky if I got in 2 hours) but I was pretty much running on adrenaline the whole day so Brain-Farts were GOING to happen; but with my luck they ALWAYS happen at the most unopportune times.

I had asked Erin if she had plans on leaving the folks at E.I. Cinema and she said that she is working on it. She was getting better scripts and offers since she did "Sick Girl" for the Masters of Horror series. I told her that I was pulling for her cause her talents are far outgrowing thier films.

She signed the slip cover of "Bite Me"....XoX-Misty Mundae. My day was more than complete at that time.

Can't wait to see who's on the Guest List for next years Fangoria's Weekend of Horrors. Hope to see ya there...cause I'm not missing it for the world.

Got a phone call this morning....

Last Saturday, at the Fangoria convention, I paid $20 for 5 tickets for a Raffle that Tripod Films was having in the Downstairs Dealer Room. The Prize was to be Killed ( Fictitiously of course) in an upcoming film.

One guy was about to enter untill he noticed that it was $5 per ticket. "Oh, I didn't kow you had to PAY to enter...in that case forget it."
I looked at the guy, puzzled, and said. "It's not like the money is going into thier pockets. It's more than likely going to be invested in thier next film." I looked at the guy running the table and said. "I'll take 5 tickets." as I handed him a $20.

I woke up to a phone call early in the day. It was from Tripod films.........I WON!!!
I accepted the prize. I will get to be in an Upcoming production and be (Fictitiously) killed. How cool is that???

First "Hot Rod Zombies from Hell" shooting this summer....Now this.

The Tripod film won't begin shooting until September at the earliest.

It's going to be an INTERESTING year.

Fangoria's Weekend of Horror's report.

Greetings Fellow Gorehounds.

On Saturday, March 4th a friend of mine, B.A. and I left our town around 6:30AM and headed out to Rosemont, IL to the Weekend of Horrors.

We pulled up in the parking lot of the Wyndham Hotel at 7:10 AM. We arrived at the sign in table minutes later and there were only like 10-20 other people waiting.

They opened up Registration an Hour early, starting with the Gold Ticket Holders first, and the Dealers rooms would open at 10AM. Everything started an hour early because in the "final hour" Creation KNEW they were in over thier heads cause the demand at this Convention was overwhelming....to say the least.

The SWAG table consisted of things like...Pins, Tee-shirts, wrist-bands, all mainly advertising the film "NightWatch".

The dealers room(s) were bigger this year than the last Con in '96...Yes, I did say ROOMS, Two of them. The main room upstairs, for all things Mainstream...and the room downstairs, for all things Independant.

The first line I happened into was the line for Tom Savini's table. He signed my Dawn of the Dead Ultimate Edition Boxset for me and I bought a copy of "Chill Factor". (more on Tom Savini later as I make a 2nd pass by his table.)

We then raped the Anchor Bay table of all thier free cards and pins. Then we hit the basement for dealer room #2.

I bought two DVD's from the Troma Table. The guys who made KatieBird: Certifiable Crazy Person were there and I bought a copy and told them I'd write a review of it on the Fangoria Message Boards. I talked to B-Film actress Amy Lynn Best for a few minutes about stuff and bought 3 DVD's at her table.

Went back to the upstairs Dealer Room for sweep #2....Bought all the copies of Avatar Press's Friday the 13th comic (ok not ALL but One Copy of all the issues they had there.) Back to Tom Savini's table to ask him when he was going to be in a A-list film where his role was more than a cameo. To which he informed me that he was going to be in Quentin Tarentino's next film "GrindHouse"....and Tom was going to get ripped apart by Zombies.

Circled the room and bought a Tee-shirt at George Romero's table and a copy of Knightriders on DVD. Got an autographed photo from Kane Hodder (Jason - Friday the 13th part 7-10).
Bought a pen and tee shirt from the Fangoria TV table (Unfortunately lost the pen as pointed out by Amy Lynn Best on my 2nd room sweep of the Lower dealer room). Talked to Ari Lehman for a few and bought a tee-shirt and CD from him.

Told Ellen Sandweiss that even after all of these years The Evil Dead still holds up pretty well.

Took a lunch break at McDonalds just down the road.

Met Erin Brown (Misty Mundae for all you fans of E.I. Cinema's films) and told her that it was time to break free of them and to spread her wings with bigger / better films. She said she has been getting better offers since her role in the Master of Horror's "Sick Girl" episode.....

anyway....had a great time, can't wait for next year. Brought about $900 and spent about $550 of it on T-shirts and DVD's.

List of DVD's I got.....

KatieBird: Certifiable Crazy Person
The Resurrection Game
Severe Injuries
Flesh Eater
The Descent
The Majorettes (Signed By John Russo)
Heavenly Creatures the uncut version
Knightriders
The Toxic Avenger part III: The Last Temptation of Toxie

Cyclone
Acne
DUCK!: The Carbine High Massacre
A Lizard in a Woman's Skin
Filthy McNastiest double feature
